Ben Grant served as a Legislative Aide in the Minority Office of the Maine House of Representatives for the last 5 years. Over the years as a staffer in the legislative offices, he has built many relationships with key players in Maine politics. Ben has almost 8 years of campaign experience, working on State House and State Senate campaigns in Maine.
Prior to being Legislative Aide, Ben was the Acting State Director for StudentsFirst, a non-profit, political organization, founded by Michelle Rhee, the former Chancellor of D.C. Schools. As Acting State Director, he directly and indirectly lobbied to pass policy that fit their agenda, while also building their grassroots base and build coalitions.
In addition to his political resume, Ben has some business experience. He is currently licensed Realtor in Maine. Also, he helped his father build a blueberry harvesting business, based in Columbia Falls, where he grew up.
Ben currently lives in Waterville, with his wife, Kristin, and his daughter, Brianna.
